On your marks….

Our annual sports days are the highlight of the Summer Term and this year was no exception.
Children took part in a range of events across a week. Reception completed a sprint, an egg and spoon and an obstacle race, whilst the older children competed in a range of track and field events. The Upper Prep and Senior School’s events culminated with a Hydesville tradition, the tug of war!
Thank you to parents who were able to spectate at the events at the University of Wolverhampton. Your cheers spurred the children on!
At the Senior School event, each year group competed for the best boy and best girl across the day. The winning pupils were:
Year 7
Boy: Gurdeep
Girl: Harveen
Year 8:
Boy: Tzion
Girl: Jessica
Year 9
Boy: Arjun
Girl: Georgia
Year 10
Boy: Ishe
Girl: Nikki
At the Upper Prep sports day we got to see some fantastic events and some amazing performances. All pupils worked really hard and all really impressed the teachers. Year 6 pupils competed for the prestigious title of Victor and Victrix Ludorum. It was a close competition but the winners were:
Boys: Zak
Girls: Dhaya
Finally, children in Lower Prep really enjoyed their sports day! Pupils worked around the six different events and finished the morning with a seven-person relay.
Well done to all pupils for fantastic effort and some super sporting prowess!
