Welcome to Hydesville Tower School; it is my privilege to be the Headteacher of such an exciting place of learning. As parents and carers, we all want the very best for our children. It is crucial that they are encouraged to fulfil their academic potential; but of equal importance is their preparation for the everchanging world beyond education, a world presenting both challenges and opportunities.
Here at Hydesville Tower School, we are a happy community in which everyone can do and be their best. We pride ourselves on providing a breath-taking array of opportunities, not only within our traditional academic curriculum but also throughout our extensive extra-curricular and enrichment programmes.

The Times Parent Power League Tables 2024
Hydesville Tower School was ranked 9th in The Times Parent Power League Tables in 2024. We are incredibly proud of this achievement and to have had the exceptional work of our pupils and staff recognised in such a prestigious publication.
We were placed 9th in the ‘Top fee paying schools with no sixth form’ category. Only the top 1,600 schools across the country feature in the guide, which was compiled based on examination results - a huge accolade for us at Hydesville.

A huge well done to GCSE PE students, Simran, Ibby, Harveen and Shona, who
took on the competition at the ISA U16 table tennis championship in Stone. The fab four won multiple games, achieving a 3rd place finish in the team event, with Harveen also winning bronze in the individuals!

Congratulations to this week`s Sports Stars of the Week!
⭐Idrees in Prep School who displayed exemplary sportsmanship during his netball lessons this week. Idrees showed what it means to be a great teammate by supporting and encouraging his peers.
⭐Harveen in Senior School (Most Valued Player) who was the standout performer at the ISA U16 table tennis championship this week, helping the team to a 3rd place finish. She then went on to achieve a bronze medal in the individual event, losing her only game to the eventual winner.
Well done to you both!

Congratulations to our latest Sports Stars of the Week!
To the Prep School swim team: Dylan, Brianna, Dhian, Amaya, Amar, Eva, Charlotte, and Nyran who all pooled together to achieve a podium finish at the Walsall Swimming Gala. Well done to the team on finishing 3rd out of 13 schools.
And a big shoutout to Dhaya and Priya in Senior School who put a pause on their GCSE preparations to take on assistant PE teacher roles for the Y1 gymnastics lesson this week. A great experience for the girls and a big help for Mr Flatley!

We had a fantastic Year 9 Options Evening, where pupils and parents came together to explore subject choices for the year ahead. Our current Year 10 students shared their experiences, offering valuable insights and advice.
Limited places are available now for a Year 9 start this year. By joining Year 9 your child will benefit from being part of a school with a proven record in GCSE success.
Year on Year, Hydesville pupils achieve top GCSE results, and we consistently rank as the third highest achieving Secondary School in the borough in the GCSE league tables published by the Department for Education.
In the summer of 2024, 31% of grades were A*-A, compared to 22% nationally. 100% of pupils achieved 5 or more GCSEs at G4 or above and 80% of Maths grades were G7 and above (the previous A grade equivalent).
