KS3 pupils impress with independent research skills

Pupils in Key Stage 3 have been developing their independent research skills by undertaking a new ‘In Literature’ project.
Pupils were given a university style lecture about a complex issue in literature and had to take Cornell notes. They were then encouraged to undertake their own research and present their findings on the topic in a creative and imaginative way.
Year 8 focused on Religion in Literature and we were so impressed by their creative submissions and the high level of discussion pupils were able to engage with!
All pupils who took part received merits according to the level of challenge in their project and a certificate of participation for their Progress and Achievement folders.
We will be delivering the next set of lectures to pupils in the Spring term and we look forward to seeing another excellent range of creative responses!
