Raheel’s Christmas Wish

We have been totally blown away by an incredible act of kindness by six of our Prep School pupils.
Jayden (Y3), Arjun (Reception), Nyran (Y3), Nirvair (Y2), Aaria (Reception) and Layla (Y3) decided to donate their Christmas presents to children who are in care and less fortunate than themselves. Their kind hearted gesture was made in the memory of their friend and Hydesville pupil, Raheel, who sadly passed away last April. The group were such close friends and Raheel joined the children in donating gifts last year.
Last Friday the children handed over their presents – nearly 100 of them – to Councillor Beverley Momenabadi, Cabinet Member for Children & Young People at the City of Wolverhampton Council.
Nyran said: “We wanted to share our Christmas presents, as some children are not as lucky as us to receive so many presents. It is nice to be able to help other children have a great Christmas too.”
Mrs Samra, Headteacher, said: “Everyone at Hydesville is so proud of them all! It is such a remarkable level of kindness and care that they have shown and we are delighted with how they are thinking of others above themselves.”
