Reception Information Event
Tuesday 3rd February at 9am
Is Your Child Starting Reception in September 2026? We invite parents of children who will start school in 2026 to attend this informative event.
This is an opportunity to learn how we support children as they begin their school journey in a happy, nurturing and stimulating environment. Parents will have the chance to:
• Meet our Reception teaching team
• Learn about our approach to early years education
• Understand how we help children develop confidence and independence
This event is ideal for families wishing to explore how Hydesville Tower School supports and inspires young learners from the very start of their education.

STEM Workshop
Thursday 12th February
Join us for our Parent-Pupil STEM Workshop: Eco Marble Run.
Parents are invited to bring in clean recycling from home – cardboard tubes, small boxes, yoghurt pots and more – and team up with their child to design and build a working marble run. Using only “rubbish”, imagination and a bit of engineering know-how, families will experiment with the slopes, twists, turns and tunnels that make every run unique.
This hands-on challenge is a brilliant way to explore forces, motion and problem-solving, while also thinking about sustainability and reusing materials creatively. Come and help us prove that learning, fun and innovation really can be born out of rubbish!
Maths Workshop (for Nursery families)
Friday February 13th at 2.15pm
We are holding a Pre-School Maths Workshop for parents with children of Nursery age.
This interactive session will give you the chance to explore how we teach early mathematics and numerical patterns through practical, hands-on activities. You’ll experience the types of learning your child engages in each day and gain a deeper understanding of how the EYFS curriculum supports their mathematical thinking.
We will share ideas, strategies, and playful approaches that you can enjoy with your child at home.
Whole School Open Morning
Saturday 7th March 10am - 12 noon
Join us to find out more about our exceptional school. All areas will be open, from Nursery to the Senior School. Visitors will have the opportunity to take a tour of our facilities, meet staff and pupils and find out more about our unique family feel environment.
