GOLD for school sport at Hydesville!

We are delighted to announce we have achieved the Gold School Games Mark award for our commitment, engagement and delivery of competitive school sport for the 2022/23 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.

Mr Lawrence, Director of Sport, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised for our sporting success over the past academic year. The future for sporting success at Hydesville is certainly looking bright; our extra-curricular programme is growing each term and our fleet of school minibuses allows us to access fantastic the sports facilities at the University of Wolverhampton and other great sporting venues across the region.

“This year we have been delighted to see lots of our pupils compete in after-school fixtures across a range of sports and we look forward to more opportunities next year, including many ISA sports competitions.

“A huge thank you to everyone who has helped us achieve this award!”
