Well done to #TeamHydesville from Year 6 who took part in the KES chess competition last week.
Throughout the afternoon pupils competed in lots of fast paced, five-minute games. The format of the competition enabled the children to be matched with opponents of a similar ability by grouping together players with a similar score at the end of each round.
There were many pupils from local schools participating and the competition was of an excellent standard.
We are delighted to announce that we secured bronze, silver and gold medals as a result of our pupils’ outstanding play.
Congratulations to: Hanzala and Viren (Bronze) and Avaran (Silver).
An extra congratulations goes to our ‘gold medal winning champion’, Karanveer, who scored the highest number of points in the whole competition.
A truly fantastic performance by #TeamHydesville!
