Celebrating World Book Day 2019

We’ve had a great time celebrating World Book Day. Prep pupils did us proud with an amazing array of creative costumes – from superheroes to rainforest animals – and even the teachers got into the spirit and dressed up too!

Senior pupils didn’t want to miss out either, and they dressed up in literary-themed costumes.

The whole school took part in a range of activities throughout the day, all to celebrate the joy and value of books and reading.

Prep pupils were given a £1 World Book Day token to redeem on a book of their choice and Year 2 pupils had a special visit from pupils in Year 7 where the older children spent time reading to the younger ones. It was a very special lesson!
