Hydesville Admission Process
Thank you for your interest in our school. As a result of the current coronavirus crisis, we are changing the way we are working to provide parents with the peace of mind that they can still plan for their child’s educational future through our Virtual Admissions Process. You can still contact the team using the information below.
The admissions process is simple and transparent and outlined in brief below. We do not have a catchment area and we welcome children of mixed abilities and many talents. We are non-selective.
You will be guided every step of the way by our experienced Admissions Manager, Mrs Christine Phillips. Children are welcome to join us at any time during the school year and into any year group, subject to a place being available. Please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Phillips on 01922 624374 or complete the short enquiry form to the right and we shall be in touch. We look forward to hearing from you.
Contact us for an initial conversation about your child and to check availability in the relevant year group. We will also be able to send you a prospectus or you can request a prospectus online.
Visit and Assessment - to include registration
Arrange a visit to school for a guided tour by the Head of Nursery, Head of Prep or Head of Senior School, depending on your child’s age. Meet the Headmaster, see the school in session and experience the atmosphere.
Your child will also spend up to a full day with us, during which time we assess their behaviour and ability. At this time you will also be asked to complete a registration form and pay a £50 registration fee. The length of time your child spends with us will vary depending on which area of the school you are applying for. Following this we will provide feedback to you and discuss the offer of a place.
Subject to a positive visit, we make a time-limited formal offer of a place for your child to join us.
You accept (or decline) the offer, completing the necessary paperwork supplied to you in order to secure your child’s admission. Pay a deposit of £500, refunded to you when your child leaves the school.
