Meet our Headteacher
Welcome to Hydesville Tower School; it is my privilege to be the Headteacher of such an exciting place of learning. As parents and carers, we all want the very best for our children. It is crucial that they are encouraged to fulfil their academic potential; but of equal importance is their preparation for the everchanging world beyond education, a world presenting both challenges and opportunities.
Here at Hydesville Tower School, we are a happy community in which everyone can do and be their best. We pride ourselves on providing a breath-taking array of opportunities, not only within our traditional academic curriculum but also throughout our extensive extra-curricular and enrichment programmes.

Trips and visits are an integral part of life at Hydesville – they bring learning to life, help pupils grow in confidence, and create lasting memories with friends.
The end of term was no exception, with plenty of adventure and excitement across the school!
Years 1–4 rounded off the year with a sunshine-filled trip to Conkers, where they took on the barefoot walk (mud, water, and plenty of giggles!), wobbled their way across bridges, and climbed to new heights with courage and determination. It was a day bursting with smiles, teamwork, and pure joy.
Year 5 enjoyed an unforgettable day at West Midlands Safari Park, where the safari drive brought them up close to some of the world’s most incredible animals – from majestic lions and their cubs to playful penguins and even free-flying bats! The fun continued at the fairground, with laughter and rides to round off the adventure.
From muddy toes to roaring lions, these trips were the perfect way to celebrate a fantastic year of hard work, friendship, and achievement.

During Year 6 all pupils take part in the Hydesville Challenge – a special programme of events, activities and experiences designed to give our pupils life-changing opportunities where they can build self-esteem, grow in confidence and make lasting memories with their friends.
The final Hydesville Challenge activity during last academic year was
a Sponsored Walk, during which our Year 6 tackled with incredible determination and spirit! They showed resilience, teamwork and plenty of school pride, with some even completing an astonishing 32 laps (18 miles!).
Every step was walked in support of Acorns Children’s Hospice, a local charity that provides vital care and support for children and their families.
We are so proud of the compassion, commitment and generosity shown by our pupils. This challenge wasn’t just about miles covered, but about proving that with courage and kindness, we can truly make a difference.
Well done, Year 6 – you are an inspiration to us all!
