Where there’s a Will there’s a play….

Last Friday we kicked off the Shakespeare Week celebrations in school with pupils in Years 1 and 2 taking us back to a time when men wore tights and children were to be seen and not heard.

Our KS1 Shakepeare Extravaganza saw children taking on the roles of our Shakespearean favourites, including Titania the Fairy Queen, Falstaff the fat knight and Lady Macbeth. The leading role was ably acted by Karina Poonia (Year 2), who took on the part of William Shakespeare himself. All of the children enjoyed learning the songs, poems and dance and made their teachers extremely proud of all their hard work by putting on a wonderful performance for their parents and invited guests.
