Supporting local food banks

Kind hearted pupils from across Prep & Senior School have come together to donate food gifts to families and households in need of support.

As part of last half term’s Global Be Well Day pupils bought in non-perishable food which has been delivered to our local food bank, The Rock Centre.  The centre provides three days of much needed food and help to those in need in Walsall.

Mrs Samra, Headteacher, said: “The cost of living crisis has directly caused an increase in foodbank users nationwide so I am proud of our pupils, who have come together to help ease the pressures and support our local community.”

Giving time to charity and helping others is one of the six contributors to well-being from the Cognita Be Well Charter. In Senior School, we now have 10 well-being ambassadors and 8 charity ambassadors who are helping Mrs Dhadda with more initiatives throughout the year.
