Royal Wedding Celebrations

We had a lovely week celebrating the Royal Wedding.

We kicked off with Mrs Chand’s Royalty assembly outlining the importance of the British monarchy. The audience had a surprise when the pupils took on the roles of members of the royal family, wearing masks, happily singing and dancing to Bruno Mars’ ‘Marry You’.

Pupils in Year 7 wrote letters to Buckingham Palace in their English lessons and we had lots of fun in school today.  Our younger pupils came dressed as princes and princesses, and the rest of the school wore red, white and blue.  We enjoyed a traditional British lunch, KS1 had a picnic in the park and Seniors had a lunchtime disco.  There was a cake and bake sale and we had lots of union jack flags and bunting around school.  What a lovely day we all had, and we all wish Meghan Markle and Prince Harry our very best wishes for a wonderful wedding day!
