Individual teachers will make clear their expectations around submitting work when specific tasks are set. There will be a greater emphasis for older year groups on highly targeted assessment – the key aspects that demonstrate the learning that is happening.
Work being submitted via SeeSaw will have a variety of responses from the teacher, some of which will be encouraging the child to tackle an area that needed more attention.
Assessment will continue in line with our usual framework, taking into account both effort and attainment. Where there are specific concerns in any of these areas, our usual school approach will apply: subject teachers will address individual concerns, whilst form tutors will manage any broader issues.
Live lessons and catching up on missed lessons
In those lessons with “live” elements, it is beneficial for all pupils to be present throughout. However, we appreciate that technical issues within the home may make that difficult at times. Pupils will still be able to access assignments that have been set, the video of the lesson and any resources that support the understanding. As is true for any of our asynchronous sections of work in Teams or SeeSaw, children can access this lesson content at a later stage and hence not miss out on the learning opportunity.
In light of the transition to online learning, we have updated our Privacy Notices.
