The staff are led within the setting by the hugely experienced, warm and welcoming Mrs Smith, Head of Nursery. Mrs Smith has worked here for more than 20 years and is the face, heart and soul of our Nursery. Always bright and cheerful, she is much loved by the children and her competence is obvious and instantly reassuring to parents.
Mrs Smith, and her very capable deputy Mrs Willis, lead a team of innovative practitioners dedicated to the holistic development of the children in their care. In addition, our Early Years Coordinator Mrs Dowen, a Reception class teacher, supports with the interpretation and implementation of the Early Years curriculum while Mrs Chand, Assistant Head and herself a teacher, tracks and analyses the progress of our Nursery children. The Nursery is strengthened further still as it sits within our brilliant Prep School and therefore under the auspices of Mrs Whitehouse, Deputy Head (Head of Prep).
We encourage all our staff to pursue professional development and have embedded this through a process of performance management that supports our culture of aspiration and continuous improvement. Because our practitioners continue to add to their skill set and develop professional knowledge and understanding they become ever better teachers and carers.
