National success for Hydesville art

After a nail-biting wait, we received some very exciting news from the ISA art competition national finals this week.

Our three regional winner’s work was judged alongside winners from other regions across the country and we are delighted to announce two second places and one first places!

A huge well done to Alice in Year 8 who was placed 1st in the KS3 Textiles category with her mixed media paper dress entitled ‘Riot of colour’. This is the second time Hydesville has won this category at a national level following on from Isabella’s (Y11) success a few years ago. Ore in Year 10 beat off stiff competition to be placed 2nd in KS3 2D category with her beautiful pastel drawing and Susannah in Year 7 also achieved 2nd place in the KS2 Fashion category with a cape she created for the fashion show last year.

It is wonderful that our pupil’s talents have been recognised in such a way at a national level. Congratulations to you all!
