National Careers Week 2020

It’s been a busy week for pupils as they have been finding out about future careers and post-16 options as part of National Careers Week 2020.
Last Friday we launched Year 10’s work experience programme, whilst Year 9 went to the ‘What Career Live Fair’ at Birmingham’s NEC.
Some of our Year 10 pupils spent Tuesday at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, exploring careers in the NHS.
And throughout this week, all pupils in Years 7-10 have taken part in a workshop on ‘Fast Tomato’ which is an online career guidance programme to help young people broaden their horizons and consider a wide spectrum of career and education options.
We’d also like to thank lots of helpful, local employers who gave up their time today to help Year 10 pupils get ready for Sixth Form interviews, giving them advice and tips on how to best prepare themselves.
We hope this week’s activities have been interesting and useful for all pupils and that they have learnt more about the options available to them when they leave Hydesville.
