May the battle commence!

Mrs Burnham and Mrs Majitha present to you Hydesville’s very own Roman Army.

Last Tuesday saw the fight of our legionaries and auxiliaries in Walsall Arboretum. Year 3 pupils made their own helmets, shields and swords and followed latin instructions to fight their opponents. Conducting different battle stances including ‘The Turtle’, ‘The Wedge’ and ‘The Orb’ to protect themselves, the gruesome battle was enjoyed by all!
