Hands on Science for KS4

Our KS4 scientists have been getting hands on in their practical lessons, which is helping to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills across many learning areas.

Year 11 took part in an eye dissection which marks a point of subject crossover with physics and biology GCSE. In Biology they have been studying osmoregulation, dissecting kidneys and investigating the structures within the nervous system. In Physics they are looking at light refraction and lenses. Whilst Year 10 are looking at the reaction between acids and metals in Chemistry and our Biologists are looking at the effect of pH on enzyme activity.

Wow, a busy time for you all; looks like you’ve been getting stuck in to the experiments!
