Generous Senior School collect for homeless people

Homeless people in Walsall will have a warmer Christmas this year thanks to our kind hearted senior school.  Pupils have collected hats, gloves, scarves and socks and donated them to the Walsall Foodbank and The Big Feed, which are charities that support homeless people in the community.

The venture was led by the Senior School Community Fundraising Group and is the second donation by our generous pupils this year. Back in October we donated 21 harvest food hampers.  Members of the Community Fundraising Group additionally created several gift boxes including chocolate, toys and toiletries for children to receive from the Foodbank on Christmas day.

Miss Jenkins said: “I am delighted with the generosity of the senior school pupils and the determination of the Community Fundraising group who have donated clothes items to those less fortunate during the festive season.  Members of the Community Fundraising group are eager to begin their next collection to support the Rock Foodbank, which I look forward to supporting them with in the New Year.”
