From Hydesville With Love

Toys, stationery and toiletries have been packed into 51 shoe boxes destined for children in countries affected by war, famine, natural disaster and disease.

Our Senior School pupils are again supporting Operation Christmas Child, a campaign by international relief charity Samaritan’s Purse. Year 8 have coordinated the effort with Mrs Parker and Mrs Eynon.

The boxes, each filled with gifts for a boy or girl in one of three age categories, were delivered to a drop-off point in Walsall last night. The colourfully wrapped boxes will be transported to a warehouse before being shipped to children around the globe to spread a little Christmas cheer.

Four Year 8 pupils are pictured with a selection of the shoe boxes.
