A French café, Flamenco dancing and a European themed quiz were among the activities that took placed in school on Friday.

It was European Day of Languages on Saturday and the Senior School marked the occasion in style.

Led by Miss Jenkins, Head of Modern Foreign Languages, teachers pulled out all the stops to make sure lessons were linked to Europe and languages.

The final lesson of the day – enrichment – was collapsed and all pupils in Years 7 to 11 came together to celebrate the continent.

They enjoyed speciality snacks, performances of music and dance, a Salsa dance workshop and a penalty shoot-out.

Miss Jenkins said: “The aim was to theme the whole day and introduce the pupils to as many different European cultures as possible. It was a whirlwind tour of the continent but great fun.”
