A commitment to small class sizes
Delivering academic success
Exceptional pastoral care
Children can join our exceptional teaching nursery from three years old. We offer flexible 49-week a year provision and accept the Government’s Early Years Grant for 15 and 30 hours funding. Our Nursery, first and foremost, is a safe and caring, homely environment where the wellbeing of every child is our utmost concern. Second, only to that is our dedication to their rounded development. Our team of highly experienced and qualified staff are experts in supporting nursery aged children. Together with you, we ensure that your child’s nursery years are magical and full of opportunity.
Nurturing children’s development is of fundamental importance at our prep school. Talented, committed teachers, typically with fewer than a dozen children per class, ensure our family-feel school puts each child at the centre. Learning is personalised and our commitment to providing a rounded education helps our pupils fulfil and exceed their potential. Outstanding pastoral care gives support to every child, so they mature into remarkable young people, gaining confidence to flourish in music, sport, creative and performing arts, all of which are valued here. Our diverse enrichment provision illustrates the importance of developing the character to thrive in the wider world and all of our children strive every day to do well and to become the best they can be. We prepare pupils for 11+ success from Year 2. As a result, a significant number of pupils secure places at local grammar schools each year.
At our senior school, pupils are engaged and motivated within a vibrant and family-feel school setting. Without an 11-plus entry mechanism, success is secured through small class sizes allowing personalised learning, inspiring and highly qualified teachers, outstanding pastoral care and a flexible traditional curriculum. We pride ourselves on our diverse school community, where every child has the opportunity to flourish and our commitment to providing a rounded education helps our pupils fulfil and exceed their potential. Our GCSE results are typically the best in the borough among all non-selective schools but really and truly it is progress that sits behind the headlines. Careful tracking of individual pupil attainment and appropriate challenge and support brings progress.
As parents you will rightly consider the cost of sending your child to private school. Here at Hydesville Tower School, we understand that parents want flexibility in the way they pay their fees. There are different options available to parents, from paying termly in advance by direct debit or if you would like even greater flexibility, monthly through the School Fee Plan.
Our school is part of Cognita which is an extraordinary family of diverse yet connected schools, spanning ten different countries. We share one common purpose: to create an inspiring world of education that builds self-belief and empowers individuals to succeed. Together, we provide a uniquely global education that goes beyond grades to develop all-round academic excellence – building resilient minds and encouraging positive, international perspectives. We do this by sharing expertise, insights and best practice across the world – and by collaborating to develop rich learning environments in every school. We equip young people with the confidence and resourcefulness that prepares them to grow, thrive and find their success in a fast-changing world.
