6B take us on a journey of WW2

Our Prep School Friday assemblies continue to impress and amaze teachers and parents alike with wonderful performances from all our children.  This morning’s assembly was no exception when it was the turn of 6B to take to the stage for their class assembly.  They have been studying World War 2 in their lessons, so for their assembly they took us back in time to one of the most difficult periods in our recent history.

Taking us through a timeline of the war, the assembly taught us lots about the war, including the Blitz, air raid shelters, the life of evacuees and the Battle of Britain.

The children told the story perfectly, and the finale of a class performance of wartime songs, ‘It’s a Long Way to Tipperary’ and ‘Run Rabbit’, was enjoyed by all pupils, teachers and parents.

Well done to 6B for a brilliant assembly, and we look forward to Year 3BT’s assembly celebrating Chinese New Year next week.

A reminder that all parents and other family members are always welcome to join us for Friday’s assemblies.  Refreshments are served in the dining room from 8.45 am followed by the assembly at 9.00 am.
