Nursery Staff
Hydesville Nursery Staff :
We believe the quality of staff is the most important factor in a good Nursery. We know it is the main concern of parents when choosing the right setting for their children.
"It is only by working together as a team we can achieve goals that are personally tailored to meet your children's needs and these help us to understand "what makes them tick!"
Here at Hydesville we only employ qualified and experienced staff, who genuinely enjoy working with young children. Our dedicated and highly qualified team have not only been chosen for their professionalism and caring qualities but also for their commitment to ensuring those early years are happy ones full of laughter!
Currently within the Nursery there are the following members of staff :
Mrs .S Smith - Teacher in Charge (Green group key worker) - NNEB Diploma, I have been an NNEB qualified Nursery nurse for over 20 years and have a vast experience of working with children ranging from young children to teenagers-including my own two children! " I firmly believe that every child deserves the very best in education and care. I endeavour to continually have the vision, commitment and drive to lead my team in order to achieve this!"
Miss. L Connor - (Blue group key worker) - NNEB Diploma, I have currently had 8 years experience of working with young children 4 of those years here at our Nursery. "As a staff team we ensure all of our children are given the opportunity to explore and discover a wide range of exciting activities in a secure, friendly and happy atmosphere-and where they are prepared for the next step in their learning."
Miss.D Statham - (Red group key worker ) NNEB Diploma. "As staff we ALWAYS remain consistent with our "key groups" to ensure continuity of care and this enables us to build a strong relationship with your child."
All of the above staff are involved in continuous professional training and have all gained first aid, equal opportunities, child safeguarding, and food hygiene. As staff we take part in regular training courses both in house and outside the setting, in order to keep up to date with necessary changes.
Both Mrs S Smith and Miss L Connor are currently working and studying to obtain there 'Early Years Foundation Degree leading to the Early Years Professional Status' -a highly regarded, professional status which recognises the importance of excellent early years practice. This will give us both the opportunity to broaden our knowledge and further our leadership skills.
We operate a keyworker system (green, blue and red group) that gives each member of staff responsibility for a small number of children. Your child will then have one special adult to relate to which can make settling into the Nursery much easier. The keyworker is then in a position to deal with each child's individual needs and development. The keyworker maintains links with the child's parents through shared record keeping to ensure that children reach their full potential
All staff within the Nursery demonstrate an ability and knowledge and are able to approach their work with maturity and sensitivity.
All staff enjoy the happy atmosphere within the Nursery, one that has always been promoted in order that the children feel comfortable and in as near a home environment as possible.
We feel that the Nursery's and our own personal achievement is most seen when the children rush into the Nursery in the morning looking forward to a fun day with their new friends and lots of activities that will occupy, stimulate and encourage their development and the parents leave feeling confident their child will be well looked after.
I know it is a very difficult decision to choose a Nursery that you feel can cater for all the needs of your child, these include the love and the stimulation that they need and the feedback that you require to ensure the best possible care is given.
It is vitally important to fully involve the parents and their families in the education and care of their child from the very beginning....and we certainly do this at our Nursery!
We are proud of our Nursery and feel it is the best in Walsall and surrounding areas by far.Working with young children is so rewarding. It requires cheerfulness, organisation, energy, sensitivity, creativity and a sense of fun!
Please feel free to contact us for any information or to arrange a visit and we will be pleased to show you around the Nursery. earlyyears@hydesville.com
