Information Technology
Year 3
In year 3, pupils are learning to navigate around a computer. They learn to combine text and graphics; record sounds/use symbols and reorganise sounds; introduced to data bases and use smilations.
Year 4
In IT the children become more familiar with the various functions on Word and MS Paint. They also learn how to use the computer to program a route using a turtle. Students learn how to create a questionaire and how to present the data collected in different forms.
Year 5
In IT the children learn how to manipulate shapes; use video and audio files to create a movie using Windows Moviemaker; set up and use a database using Microsoft Access and create spreadsheets, formulae and charts using Microsoft Excel.
Year 6
The children use a range of programs and tools to complement and enhance classroom learning experiences. They access the internet to support topics in R.E., history, geography and science, and have used a range of sites to aid revision and understanding of concepts and skills.
