Design technology is taught weekly by specialist senior school teachers.

Year 3

Children begin by designing and making their own sandwiches. They then move on to looking at different packing ideas before designing packaging for their sandwiches.  Finally the children design and make photograph frames to frame the self-portraits they have produced in Art lessons.

Year 4

The children complete many projects in year 4, including designing and making their own pop-up books. They look at a variety of different mechanisms, before designing a working model. The pupils also learn how to design and manipulate t-shirts following a brief, with some excellent, creative results!
